i just had to discard a few sleator books because nobody was checking them out (less than 5 people in 7 years...) so that could be why no libraries have them :-(

but what you can do is find out what your library does with the books they discard. ours go to a community booksale, where those old sleator books can be alllll yours for like, a quarter.
