WTF ON A STICK???

So apparently there is a 1000 tag limit.. and i am way over..

and i cant even edit htem becuase LJ is being dumb

So heres the post i submitted.

LJ, Im having a problem with my Tags.

It appears there has been a recent limit of 1000 tags on personal journals.

Since my journal has entries EVERY DAY since mid 2004, Naturally I'm going to have a lot of tags.

So today i go to combine a few tags.. like

"quote" and "long quote"

...I go to tag manager.. ( http://www.livejournal.com/manage/tags.bml?authas=caitaro&sort=use )

and click (for example) long quote... and type "quote" in the rename box.. and just hit rename. The page reloads and long quote it still there.


I counted, and I have approx. 1,175 TAGs as of right now.

Now, how the heck do you suppose i get that down below 1000 when I cant even edit the tags in the first place????

So i am requesting.. either an increase in the tag limit..

Or give me for ex. 2000 tags, for like a week so I can get the tags down below the limit.


Now, because my journal entries are at least 1 for every day, every day that the limit is still 1000 is another day that my tags are forked up.


I'm not the only one with this problem.. So, if nothing else, could you increase the limit???
