caitaroalright. for about 2 hours now.. ive been all over the internet and on a billion message boards TRYING to figure out..
how the hell
they can turn
5k^3+40
into 5(K+2)(K^2-2K+4)
/I/ dont know
my DAD doesnt know.
and apparently noone on the internet knows.
I feel like building a time machine and royally slitting the throat of the guy who eventually led to the invention of algebra.
and then doing something incredibly drastic to him
Like.
EAT HIM.
like in 2001 maniacs.
Or even...
just.. stab him multiple times.. slit his skin off layer by layer with a RUSTY exacto knive.. pour nitric acid all over him.. with SALT.. and MAKE HIM EAT TOOTER OR SOMETHING
OMFG I HATE MATH WITH THE INTEST HOT PASSION OF 1000 WHITE SUNS.

ok, first you need to know the rule:
x^3 + y^3 = (x + y)(x^2 - xy + y^2)
now to do the problem:
5k^3+40 .........first thing to do is factor out the 5
=> 5(k^3 + 8) ..............now 8 = 2^3
=> 5(k^3 + 2^3) ............now apply the rule above
=> 5(k+2)(k^2 - 2k + 2^2) = 5(k+2)(k^2 - 2k + 4)
It says NOTHING in the GOD DAMNED ASSED BOOK about factoring out before tryin to make em both cubed.

(4x+1)[(4x)^2-(4x)(1)+1^2]

and most of all, i HATE My inability to do stupid shit like math, which i will NEVER USE IN MY LIFE. I DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS, I WILL NEVER FACTOR ANOTHER EFFING BINOMIAL EVER AGAIN.

Yar i know i seem very violent, but i hate this stuff.. and now ive got the majority of it figured out.. (for these sections anyway)..
So if you are just tuning in to Cait's Amazing Technicolor JOurnal... coat.. then dont take me as a violent, angry person o.o.... cuz im not :p
(unless it comes to math with particular rules about tiny things that i will never remember :()
