Hey Cait,
I've been thinking about you lately. Hoping that things are moving along in your world..... that you have been gainfully employed and have saved enough to start school in the fall. I hope your art work is progressing and you are feeling that you are growing as a person. I hope these things have happened in your life, and if they haven't, you have a plan to make them happen, and well, if you don' t.... I like you anyway.
My summer is going well, we have been up north sailing and visiting a few times, and I will spend the last half of August on the water somewhere (probably in northern lake Huron, in an area called the north channel http://continuouswave.com/north-channel/ {see attached}). I have worked around the house, as well as worked in the boating safety program for the sheriff department. I have stayed busy, but have also been able to relax and recharge. Getting ready for next year.
So, now you can't say, you never heard from me. Keep up the good work, John

I did have a plan, I honestly did. But then it exploded.
The no worker left behind act gives free college.. up to like 5k a year for like 3 years to people who have graduated more than 2 years ago, and make less than $40,000.
I was EXTREMELY excited! SOMETHING was going right~ I was going to go to college, and i didn't have to worry about how anymore~ So I even took the initiative. I called michigan works 5 months early, in January.. to see what I had to do to start this whole process. (They're the one who put it on)
To put it short, they had me running around doing things not even neccisary.. like I had to do a mental health triage, come in to take some literacy test, and one time come in for absolutely no reason at all.. Honestly, they had no blithering idea what was going on.
At the last stage of this, (after about 5 trips into hillsdale) they told me i didn't qualify because due to their calculations, my dad was going to make just over 40,000$ this year.. We've NEVER made over 40,000$ a year.. then it hit me, my dad got a 15 cent raise this year. *falls over*
Some lady from michigan works called me on the phone asking me if I wanted to take out a loan insted. I hate people telling me to do that. She said "When you get done with college, you can get a job and pay it back. 94% of college students have a job within 6months of graduating"
I ended up yelling at her, because i cant stand people telling me to get a loan. Sure 94% of people can get a job, but I will be part of that 6% that doesn't. I know it's not positive thinking, but thats how my life /always/ works. Im /always/ in the minority, esp. if its a bad thing. That usually doesn't stop me from trying, but with money, this is on a whole nother level.
If they'd let me take out a loan, and i wouldnt have to pay it back / interest, whatever until i got a job, then i would be fine with that. but after i graduate they're gunna want the money NOW weither i have a job or not...
So, anyway, I keep filling out applications to places... RE-filling them out.. I think i should just like send in a stack of like 60 applications to every place, and maybe ill get some attention, haha. I have a resume up all over on the net.. monster.com, Michigan works talent bank, etc.
But, you know, it's hard, and i seriously dont want you yelling at me for it, and I know thats your method of modivation, but you could yell and yell, and it's not going to do anything but make me upset... and not want to email you anymore.. lol. I was planning on not emailing you first TILL i got a job... but My dad talks to people he sees in walmart.. and a LOT of them are unemployed.. THEY have past jobs on their resumes.. THEY have good references.. and if they still cant get a job, all i can do is keep trying... and trying is easier when people arent making me afraid to check my email :P~
putting that aside anyway..
I have been at my house... all summer pretty much... All my neighbors have moved, except corys friend who is /really/ scary..
I've been making more friends on the internet... I hold a position as an authoritative figure for a popular group I belong to...
Actually, Because Michael Potts/ Whoever, refuses to acknowledge my emails (and I even asked them if we could meet in person) I didn't want that super cool website layout to go to waste. So i converted it over to a website for my group! The URL is http://pwnst4r.co.nr/ if you're interested. I even stole mike potts' opening speech, bwahah.
Art wise.. doing very good.. The drawing class I took at JCC was super fun.. and i didn't have to draw naked people, HORRAY!

The big picture of me turned out REALLY good, i think.. It looks kinda crappy in the pic, my friend said it looked like "some scary ancient egyption slave driver" >_< but, i think it turned out good.

You can always keep taking classes until you get a job, which isn't the best economic strategy in the long run, but will keep the loan hunters off your back until you find one.
