Rodney Lipscomb It sounded like a loud explosion. Some people heard more than one. I only heard a single instance. With people talking about seeing lights and the trees being sheared off, I think it was a meteoroid. It got low in the atmosphere before it exploded, which would cause everything I've been hearing from people. I want to say 11:30ish PM on Sunday, I believe. Maybe it was Saturday. Days tend to blend together for me. I have very little reason to keep track. :)
Not sure. I'm in Union City and it was loud here. Other people have talked about it shaking their houses. Wasn't that intense here. I guess a tree farmer or some such in Goebles said some of his trees were sheared off. So, I'd think it happened closer to that area. My mother said she saw lights which she described as 'a big sparkler'. If my guess is right, then she would have been seeing pieces of the meteoroid breaking off before it exploded.
